About Us

Dagon began its journey in the 1980s, in Kibbutz Ma’agan Michael, cultivating and breeding ornamental fish. Today, Dagon is one of the top-quality Koi suppliers worldwide, breeding outdoor Koi, bio-secure Koi, Goldfish, and eco-friendly fish. 

 

Building on our experience in the ornamental fish market, Dagon has expanded into new markets and developed new fish breeding lines over the last 20 years. Located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea, we established our Marine fish hatchery to breed, hatch, rear larvae, and nurse fingerlings of marine finfish.

1978

DAGON IS FOUNDED

Dagon's journey began as a freshwater facility, specializing in the breeding and cultivation of tilapia and various carp species. Notably, we developed exceptional expertise in maintaining the health and breeding of Koi fish.

1989

HYBRID STRIPED BASS PROGRAM

Our journey took a groundbreaking turn as we embarked on the Hybrid Striped Bass program. This marked a new era of innovation, of breeding a fish species that posed unique challenges, demanding the use of highly complex breeding methods.
